Disney gets 'Frozen' with new trailer

What is it with Disney and horses these days? Whether it's Tangled or more provocatively with the new live-action Cinderella, one thing is clear, Disney is all about their horses. And judging by today's first trailer for Frozen, that's not going to change any time soon.

The latest animated film from Disney (without Pixar's help) will surely look familiar to those that have seen Tangled and it's hard to tell if it's intentional or simply a by-product of so many animated films hitting the marketplace these days. As the title promises, Kristen Bell plays a young woman who goes on a journey to confront her sister, the Snow Queen, and save the kingdom from an eternal winter.

It might be easy to simply dismiss Frozen as just another kid movie, especially when compared to the more adult-pleasing Pixar films, but as a newish Father to a daughter, I welcome anything new to keep her entertained. Throw in the strong female heroine and it's a win-win that I will be happy to share with my daughter.

Naturally, there are plenty of comic relief characters such as a loyal reindeer and a wise-cracking snowman named Olaf, played brilliantly by Josh Gad. If you have young children in the house, I know that you'll be excited to see Frozen when it hits theaters on November 27.
