Answer to Trivia

There have been many great films over the years to be named after the lead character's first name. A smaller set of those have earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. Rebecca (1940), Shane (1953), Marty (1955), Gigi (1958), Oliver! (1968), Julia (1977), Bugsy (1991), Ray (2004), and Juno (2007) are among the more memorable single name titles.

The last film to qualify for this honor was 2013's Philomena. Judi Dench starred in this drama directed by Stephen Frears.

In this week's new DVD and Blu-ray releases there are two films featuring single name titles. Scarlett Johnsson stars in Lucy, the action hit about a butt-kicking woman with superior abilities. Annabelle is the true story of the cursed doll first seen in 2013's The Conjuring. Both Lucy and Annabelle are now available on DVD and Blu-ray. Watch them today!
