Peter Jackson must be suffering from work withdrawal. Not only is the director busy readying his King Kong remake for its big screen debut on December 14th, but the filmmaker is also overseeing the two-disc special edition DVD of the original 1933 King Kong, due November 22nd.
Included in the set is a two-hour, seven-part feature documentary, which Jackson filmed, entitled "RKO Production 601: The Making of Kong, the Eighth Wonder of the World." The new documentary promises to address the mysterious spider pit scene that was cut from the original movie for being too terrifying and has since seemingly vanished into thin air.
