Hayden Christensen is set to star with his Star Wars prequels co-star Samuel L. Jackson in big-budget action film Jumper.
Christensen will take the lead role of David, a troubled young man who discovers he has the power to teleport. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Steven Gould. Jamie Bell and Teresa Palmer will also co-star.
The film will be directed by Doug Liman, the man with an impeccable résumé which includes Swingers, Go, The Bourne Identity, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. If anyone can make Jumper a success on the big screen, it's Liman.
Fox, the studio behind the Jumper film, has such high hopes for the project that they hope to turn it into a franchise. Expect Jumper in theaters some time in 2007.
