On November 19, the "beginning of the end" will take on more significance than merely an overused cliché to mark the start of a downfall. It's the day that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I hits theaters signaling a mere 8 months before we finally see the last frame of the worldwide hit franchise.

Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone debuted in theaters on November 16, 2001 and introduced us to would-be millionaires Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. But more than that, it also gave fans of J.K. Rowling's sprawling series of books their first glimpse of this universe that would transcend into pop culture so majestically that there's now a theme park in Orlando, Florida based on it.

For others, like myself, The Sorcerer's Stone signaled our first foray into this rich world, but certainly not the last. I remember thinking before I had seen the movie that I was above such trifle childish fare, but little did I know.

After seeing Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone, I was hooked. I caught up in the book series within a couple of weeks and soon, I was just another big "Potter-head" madly waiting for the next book/movie.

Well, the release of last book signaled a certain end, a "beginning of the end" if you will in that while the book series was over, I still had a few more movies to look forward to. However, this trailer makes me pause and realize that the end is really nigh.

While the trailer didn't elicit tears, the appearance of Dobby in it nearly opened up the waterworks. That reminds me that I better pack extra tissues in November and July.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I opens in theaters on November 19 2010, while Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II brings the decade's worth of films to a close on July 15, 2011.
