I knew that Paramount was looking to take the Star Trek franchise into new and exciting places, but I never knew they were looking to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first look at Star Trek Beyond dropped today and if the trailer looks familiar, it should because it reminded me of Guardians of the Galaxy.
A lot.
And I'm not the only one that noticed it.
Who am I to argue? Since Paramount hasn't given us a poster for Star Trek Beyond, I decided to help them out. You know, maybe save them a few bucks to buy more music rights. Star Trek Beyond hits theaters on July 22, 2016.

So I guess that new Star Trek trailer saw Guardians of the Galaxy once or twice

Just watched the Star Trek Beyond trailer.
Some one watched Guardians of the Galaxy and thought "Yeah 90's music in space this time"

They should just change the name of the new Star Trek movie to: 'You guys really liked Guardians of the Galaxy, right?'

That new Star Trek trailer is not Star Trek.. That's Guardians of the Galaxy 1.5.
