Every year a few famous people get together in Las Vegas for a little convention they call ShoWest. Theater owners and many other exhibitors set up shop as the studios bring in their biggest stars to keep those theater and video store owners happy.
There are several awards given out as well and Heath Ledger, who made it big as Mel Gibson's son in The Patriot, was a recipient, even though he didn't know what to make of being named "Male Star of Tomorrow." Heath whines, "It's so strange, 'the Star of Tomorrow.' I really don't know what to think about it." Sorry Heath, all of the gold men are gone.
