Charming ne'er-do-well playboy Neil McGill (Robert Young) has a recurring problem: He keeps missing his own wedding! Mortified by his two no-shows, Neil's father cuts him off from the family fortune. His mother (Billie Burke) concocts an absurd excuse -- he's got amnesia! -- to get him back in good graces with his father and fiancee, Abbie (Virginia Field). Neil travels to the Swiss Alps to have famed psychiatrist Dr. Grauer (Walter Connolly) confirm his "condition." While at an inn high in the Alps, Neil falls for the doctor's attractive ward, Luise (French film star Annabella). Their courtship is rocky from the start, thanks to Dr. Grauer's disapproval and Neil's romantic history. Things turn around, thanks to a timely avalanche, until Neil is shanghaied into a shipboard wedding by Abbie...a wedding that a certain stowaway will do anything to stop. This frothy screwball delight is ably anchored by MGM's stalwart supporting players, which include Reginald Owen and Arthur Treacher.
